Up Next - Nashville, Tennessee

Excitement is building for Shelly's first ever trip to Nashville, Tennessee!  This will be a learning experience for her and she is so looking forward to learning about Nashville and more about songwriting!  She is currently in the process of setting up some co-writing sessions and so far has confirmed with Tim Taylor who has written hits like "My Way" and "Done You Wrong" recorded by Aaron Pritchett, Ten Million Teardrops recorded by Jason McCoy and many others.  Check out his myspace page http://www.myspace.com/timtaylorsongwriter.
Shelly is also in high hopes of co-writing with Patricia  Conroy (Canadian Country singer/songwriter) and Byron Hill (who has written countless hits) - just waiting for responses for dates and times. 

Shelly will be visiting music city October 20 - 27th and will be taking in the Bluebird Cafe, Grand Ol Opry, Tootsies Lounge and whatever else comes her way.  An opportunity to perform at the infamous Bluebird Cafe would be definitely be a highlight!

Shelly to perform during Canadian Country Music Week

Canadian Country Music Week will be in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan September 5 - 9th bringing in country artists and industry people from across the country for the annual conference.  During Country Music week, there are several showcases of music and this year a unique concept is to showcase artists that are not on the various CCMA endorsed roster, but nevertheless have caught the attention from promoters to create a jam-packed two days of strutting their stuff for the music decision makers.  Shelly is very honored and excited to be performing in the DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH  showcase - a showcase resented by Sirroma Entertainment for independent artists on the rise.  

Shelly will be performing in the Wednesday, September 5th showcase at 8:30 pm in the Aroma Resto Lounge in the Radisson Hotel located at 405- 20th Street East in downtown Saskatoon.

THIS TOWN is written by hit Nashville songwriter Gretchen Peters. I felt that I had to sing THIS TOWN because it connected with me and I felt it would connect with everyone else who is from a small town. I feel like I'm having a conversation when I sing this song and people are responding with 'yeah, that's like my town!"

NEW SINGLE DUE OUT SOON!!

Well folks, it has been a very, very busy time for me.  I have moved from Vancouver Island back to Alberta and amongst all the moving, being on the road, finding a new place, unpacking, I've had to work in conjunction with my consultant getting everything ready to promote my new single. Phew!  Its been a lot but at the same time I am very excited!!

On my home page, click on the picture for my new single "This Town" and a splash page will show up.  It's pretty cool.  Has a few pictures of me and tells you when the single will be released not only to radio but when it will be available on iTunes and CDBaby.

Off to L.A. for a few days!

As I sit here writing this, I am listening to the almost final mix of my upcoming single This Town written by Gretchen Peters and produced by CCMA award winning producer Bart McKay.  It sounds sooo good and I cannot wait for it to be complete and to share it with you all!  I`m off to Los Angeles for a few days to do my photo shoot with music industry renowned photographer Mark Maryanovich  http://www.maryanovich.com.  It will be on location shots and the photos will be used in the promotion of the new single.  I get to be in the warm sun for a few days!

Making a move - no shows for the remainder of March and the month of April

Shelly is in the process of moving from Vancouver Island back to her home province of Alberta.  She will be busy packing up her stuff and relocating to her new home.  Once Shelly is relocated, she will be busy booking venues all across Alberta and Saskatchewan to promote her upcoming single "This Town".  Thank goodness for technology - Shelly will be able to keep up on her emails and social media so if you want to book her for a show you can still send an email.

New Single "This Town" near completion

Shelly recorded her first single of 2012  "This Town" written by Gretchen Peters on February 5th in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with Bart McKay.  The single still needs to have a few more things added - fiddle and background vocals and then it will be mastered.  Stay tuned!
